Compulsory civil liability insurance for organisations operating hazardous production facilities. The policy covers harm caused to third parties and the environment in an accident at such a facility.
Who must hold it
The policy is taken out by organisations operating hazardous production facilities. The obligation is established by the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic "On Compulsory Civil Liability Insurance of Organisations Operating Hazardous Production Facilities" No. 202 of 15 August 2008.
What is covered
- harm to the life and health of third parties in an accident at a hazardous facility;
- damage to third-party property;
- harm to the environment.
How the price is calculated
The calculation is made separately for each facility: the type of hazardous facility, the liability limit, the base rate and coefficients. Where several facilities are operated, each is entered as a separate item with its own parameters and the premium is the sum of the calculations for all of them. The number of employees working at the hazardous facilities is also taken into account. A sales tax of 2% is applied to the calculated premium.
