Accident insurance for tourists entering the Kyrgyz Republic. It mirrors outbound travel insurance: that product protects those leaving the country, while this one protects those arriving. The policy runs for the period of stay.
Cover programme
One programme is provided for this product — GSO NOMAD BRONZE. It is applied automatically and requires no selection.
Sum insured
The cover limit is chosen when the policy is issued — from 50,000 to 750,000 som in steps of 50,000 som. The premium is calculated separately for each insured person and depends on the sum insured, the person’s date of birth and the length of stay. A sales tax of 2% is applied.
Who it suits
Foreign tourists and visitors, including groups: several insured persons can be included in one policy, each calculated separately. Details are entered in Latin characters, as in the passport.
Deductible
The contract may include a deductible: none, conditional (non-deductible) or unconditional (deductible). It can be set as a percentage of the sum insured or of the loss, per damage, for total loss and the theft risk, outside the Kyrgyz Republic, for glass breakage, or as an absolute amount.
How to arrange it
- Enter the insurance period — the dates of entry and departure.
- Enter the insured persons’ details in Latin characters as in the passport, and a contact phone number for use in case of a claim.
- Select the sum insured — the cover limit.
- Specify the deductible terms if required.
- Pay for the policy and receive it in electronic form.
The policy is arranged online, at the head office and at any SIO branch. Payment is accepted online, by QR code, bank transfer, mobile banking apps, at a terminal or at the cash desk.
Documents required
The tourist’s passport; the dates of entry and departure; a contact phone number in the Kyrgyz Republic.
If an insured event occurs
- Seek medical assistance if needed and call an ambulance.
- Notify SIO — on the call centre numbers 0 553 54 54 00 and 0 707 54 54 00 or through the claim form on the website.
- Keep medical documents, invoices and receipts for the expenses paid.
- Submit a claim with the supporting documents.
Legal basis
Accident insurance is provided in accordance with the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic "On Insurance and Insurance Activities" No. 89 of 29 April 2025 and SIO’s insurance rules.
