Voluntary personal insurance against accidents and illness. The policy protects the insured person in the event of injury, disability or death resulting from an accident. Any number of insured persons can be included in one policy — for example a whole family or a work team.
Insured risks
One cover option is selected:
- death as a result of an accident;
- death and disability as a result of an accident;
- death, disability and injury as a result of an accident.
Programme and period of cover
The terms are chosen to match the insured person’s way of life: “during sports activities”, “sport + accident 24 hours a day”, or “24 hours a day”. The period of cover is set separately:
- around the clock — 24 hours a day;
- only while performing work duties or attending an educational institution, excluding travel time;
- while performing work duties, including travel to and from the workplace.
Sum insured and rate
The sum insured is chosen by the policyholder — from 3,000 som. The rate depends on the risk group, which is determined by the insured person’s occupation:
- group 1 — 0.21%;
- group 2 — 0.26%;
- group 3 — 0.31%;
- group 4 — 0.37%;
- group 5 — 0.45%.
The premium is calculated as the sum insured × the risk-group rate, with a reducing coefficient; the insured person’s age also affects the rate. Where several people are included, the calculation is made for each separately. A sales tax of 2% is applied.
How to arrange it
- Enter the insurance period and the policyholder’s details, including the date of birth — the age-based rate is selected from it.
- Choose the terms and the sum insured — the system shows the premium immediately.
- Add other insured persons if needed: there is no limit on their number.
- Select the insured risks and the risk group, and the period of cover.
- Complete electronic identification, sign with an electronic digital signature and pay the premium.
The policy can also be arranged at the head office and at any SIO branch. Payment is accepted online, by QR code, bank transfer, mobile banking apps, at a terminal or at the cash desk.
Documents required
The policyholder’s passport; the insured persons’ details — full name, date of birth and personal identification number; information on the occupation for determining the risk group.
If an insured event occurs
- Seek medical assistance and obtain documents confirming the fact and nature of the injury.
- Notify SIO — on the call centre numbers 0 553 54 54 00 and 0 707 54 54 00 or through the claim form on the website.
- Keep medical reports, extracts and certificates; where disability is established, the medical and social assessment report.
- Submit a claim with the supporting documents.

Voluntary personal insurance is provided in accordance with the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic "On Insurance and Insurance Activities" No. 89 of 29 April 2025 and SIO’s insurance rules.
