To arrange an MTPL policy you will need the owner's passport, the vehicle registration certificate and a driving licence. The process takes 10–15 minutes. Prices start from 1,680 som for a passenger car and from 2,900 som for commercial vehicles; the rate depends on engine capacity and driving experience.

MTPL is a compulsory class of insurance: the obligation of vehicle owners to insure their civil liability is established by the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic "On Compulsory Insurance of Civil Liability of Vehicle Owners" No. 192 of 24 July 2015. The policy covers harm caused to the life, health and property of third parties.

A policy can also be arranged online: the customer selects the product, submits an application, completes electronic identification, signs the documents with an electronic digital signature and receives the policy in electronic form.

The expansion of the sales network is part of SIO's work to make insurance services more accessible to residents of every region of the country. For assistance, the hotline 61‑00‑00 is available (free from mobiles within the Kyrgyz Republic), Monday to Friday, 9:00–18:00.
